Embracing the Season You’re In
To everything there is a season. This includes your career, your business, and your life. Are you embracing the season you’re in?
Like many of my adult clients, Donna (not her real name) was at the end of her rope. Things weren’t going as planned. As hard as she tried to control things, the more frustrated she became. Donna was in a winter season.
Winter
If you’re in the winter of your life, things have shifted for you. You may have lost your job, a family member, or a business. Perhaps you’re experiencing health issues. Things look a bit bleak and you might feel very alone. You’re holding out for better days and for the storms to pass. Winter can also be a time to slow down, rest, and regroup.
After Donna’s first drum therapy session, it was clear that there were some things she needed to release. We talked, we drummed, we cried. She found hope, healing, and had a breakthrough. You could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. It was wonderful! Soon, it will be spring for her.
Spring
If you are in the spring season of your life, things are starting to blossom and burst forth. Spring is a time for new beginnings. This could mean new ideas, a new job or business, a new project, or just transitioning into a new phase of your life. Spring represents excitement, renewal, and rebirth.
Summer
If you are in the summer of your life, you are having fun! You’re getting the hang of things and are able to kick back and relax a bit. You’ve learned to trust, let go, and ride the waves. Maybe you’ve invited others to join in. Summer represents hitting the “refresh button” and enjoying where you are.
Fall
If you are in the fall of your life, you are reaping the harvest from the seeds you have sown. Things are beginning to make sense. Your life, career, or business is beginning to take shape. You may feel a little restless, or even uncertain, but there’s a sense of excitement in the air.
This is the season I’m in. I was blessed with several opportunities that have run their course. Now, it’s time to readjust and get back to my Divine Assignment of using drumming for healing and breakthroughs, like what happened with Donna or some of my other private clients.
Sometimes, you have to let go of things so you can clear the way for your next assignment. Embrace the season you’re in. Take some time to rest but also get clear. Are you where you want to be?
If you know it’s time to make some changes, you may need to shift your mindset. You may also need some extra clarity. Here’s a quick video with some calming beats to get you started:
