Feeling overwhelmed? ‘Tis the season. Or is it?
The answer to that question depends on your priorities. And how many things you decided to pile on.
As the years go by, I’ve learned that less is more. Less baking, less holiday activities, less Christmas cards, and less business activities as well. I’ve learned to focus on quality, not quantity. With age comes wisdom, I suppose. Here are some tips that may help.
- Take a break and go do something fun! Watch a Christmas movie, find a great Christmas light display, attend a holiday concert, or go someplace special.
- Spend time with family and friends. You can’t get that time back, so make it count. Avoid stressful situations and confrontations. Life’s too short.
- Give back. If you’re able, help out a person or organization, or put a grocery store gift card in the plate at church.
- Remember the reason for the season. Keep it simple this Christmas. Just be present, create some good memories, and remember why we celebrate.
