The Rhythm of Gratitude
Savoring the moments
In this busy time of year, it’s easy to get caught up in an endless list of “to-do’s”. This is especially true if you’re a business owner and you’re trying to get all your ducks in a row so you can close out your year.
Many feel they need to “speed up the tempo” and push out as many projects, events, or products as they can. And then race to do all the shopping and baking, etc.
Here’s a radical thought: Slow things down and enjoy what’s in front of you! The world won’t end if you take a break, take it all in, and give thanks.
Wisdom from a rockin’ grandma:
- Be in the moment. Pay attention to the things and people around you. Focus and listen! Time passes quickly and you can’t get it back.
- Give thanks: Even if you’re going through a rough season, make a list of all the things you’re thankful for. You may be surprised at how long the list is!
- Schedule some downtime: Block it off on your calendar and go do something fun or connect with family and friends!
- Spend some time in prayer and reflection: You can even tap out some slow, soothing beats.
- Pay it forward: Do a random act of kindness for someone. It can make a difference in their life – and yours!
Thank you for reading and for your support! Wishing you and yours many blessings this Thanksgiving and always!
